theblackestday Posted December 23, 2019 Author Posted December 23, 2019 (edited) album covers First let me start by sharing some of my favorite album covers from this decade. I made this mostly on the spot so hopefully I'm not missing anything too important, but the art of the album is something that is very important to me and honestly affects my listening experience, so these covers are quite iconic to me and I adore them from an aesthetic point of view, the statement they might be making and how they complement the music. No order whatsoever btw. Feel free to enlarge and observe the beauty cause I tried getting these as HQ as I could Edited December 28, 2019 by theblackestday

World Eater Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 The flavor, whew, love most of these White Legends having three entries, artist(s) of the 2010s confirmed Few artworks I should have included on my list (In Colour, Lonerism, probably sumn else) Phoebe proving you don't necessarily have to be a talented artist (?) to have a good album cover

Your list did remind me like two artworks I forgot about, so you walked so I could run djskhdsfd. now that is some form of talent we'll give her that... now she can retire
theblackestday Posted December 24, 2019 Author Posted December 24, 2019 favorite eps 15. LOOΠΔ / ODD EYE CIRCLE - Max & Match (k-pop) The peak of K-pop. The supreme trio of Loona form a sub-unit for an EP that is pop perfection start to finish and has enough flavour to keep things spicy. Listen: Chaotic 14. Grimes - Darkbloom (synthpop, dream pop) yeah sorry d'Eon but this entry is only for Grimes' side cause I don't really care about you. This has some of her most beautiful and best songs. Listen: Crystal Ball 13. Crim3s - Stay Ugly (witch house, synth punk) Oh Witch House... that was an era. We need these legends to make a comeback and bring it back. Just bangers after bangers... Listen: Lost 12. Paramore - Singles Club (alternative rock, pop punk) "Honestly. This slaps and always will slap. Love this band and their live show" — Psalm 13:4. Forreal, some of their best material is on here. Listen: In the Mourning 11. Sevdaliza - The Suspended Kid (art pop, alt rnb) Still her best work. Like wow the 1-2-3 punch of the first three tracks... this is not something they made, different areas, etc. Also the videos, flawless. Listen: Clear Air was gonna post the rest of the list but it's 3am and I'm getting tired so tomorrow? x
volition Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 need 2 listen to crim3s again now that i've outgrown my OwitchhouseH phase. max & match was p good last i heard it. sevdaliza talentless but let me listening
Eeveelution Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Max & Match Imma take credit for it being here. Yes I will listen to Chaotic. Grimes peaked with Vanessa, why? #12 and #13 don't know what they sang. Only remember 2 songs from the Sevza EP but they're two SOTD contenders so
World Eater Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 never listened to Stay Ugly (even though I did what the title suggested) despite being aware of its cult (?) status in a way, let me saving Loona beautiful

theblackestday Posted December 24, 2019 Author Posted December 24, 2019 favorite eps 10. FKA twigs - EP1 (alt rnb, art pop, trip hop) The beginning of it all; the EP that only led to greater things. It's unfortunate this doesn't get enough praise because I think it's a perfect debut to a perfect discography. That was a classic. Listen: Ache 09. Charli XCX - Vroom Vroom (bubblegum bass, electropop) Speaking of beginnings, with this one Charli became renowned as the future of pop after delving into PC musica, and it's what she deserves! Listen: Secret (Shh) 08. Iglooghost - Clear Tamei (wonky, uk bass) With this release, Mr. Ghost set a new high for himself. The amount of detail in his production is insane. Like, New Vectors? this is not something they ****ing made! Different AREAS! Listen: Clear Tamei 07. Hatchie - Sugar & Spice (dream pop) She is the Cocteau Twins I've never had. She is the My Bloody Valentine everybody wants, and the Slowdive everyone deserves. Listen: Sleep 06. Sky Ferreira - Ghost (girl... versatile) This is basically a Greatest Hits compilation. It might not be cohesive sonically but every song here (besides the horrid EIE) is a masterpiece. Night Time, My Time couldn't... Listen: Lost in My Bedroom
theblackestday Posted December 24, 2019 Author Posted December 24, 2019 favorite eps 05. HANA - HANA (art pop, synthpop) Wow her Twitch album or whatever sucked. Thankfully we still have this gorgeous release... better than ms. Boucher's career. Perfect vocals, melodies, ethereal production. there are truly no words. Listen: Chimera 04. Alice Glass - Alice Glass (post-industrial, glitch-electro-pop) GET THE **** OFF OF ME!!!! GET THE **** OFF OF ME!!! GET THE **** OFF OF ME!!! GET OFF OF ME!!! Listen: Forgiveness 03. FKA twigs - M3LL155X It’s easily the best album of this decade. It’s musically and lyrically ahead of the times, and aesthetically, my mind was blown and rewired by her accompanying performance pieces. Listen: In Time 02. Kelela - Hallucinogen wow truly my favorite person of all time we don't deserve her we really don't what have we done as humans, how we contributed to society, the way Kelallah has... literally nothing. we are nothing. Listen: Gomenasai 01. FKA twigs - EP2 Best EP of all time Listen: Papi Pacify
K$Ellie Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 Max & Match... we love to see it, best EP of all time even if Chaotic is my least fave but they're all 10/10s The top 3 is also excellent EP1, Alice Glass, Ghost and Vroom Vroom have some good sings too
SLIME Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 that artwork collage is so beautiful and contains a lot of my favorites too (both visually and musically), good job. Vroom Vroom is one of my favorite things ever. that Loona joint is a lot of fun as well. As for all this Twigs & Kelela praise, the only thing I have to say is...
TheWayWeWere Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 omg, sis so many taste here Vroom Vroom Ghost EP made me Sky' stan Hallucinogen and Melissa
