Lover by Taylor Swift becomes the 3rd best selling western album digitally in China after surpassing Kamikaze by Eminem. Despite not being released yet. Now Taylor Swift occupies the entire Top 3 best selling western albums in China.

 

Best selling western albums in China(QQ, Netease, Kugou, Kuwo):

 

1. Taylor Swift - Reputation = 1,525,722

2. Taylor Swift - 1989 = 1,480,582

3. Taylor Swift - Lover = 456,655

4. Eminem - Kamikaze = 448,227

5. Imagine Dragons - Evolve = 374,050

6. Troye Sivan - Bloom = 367,485

7. Ariana Grande - Thank You, Next = 356,988

8. Eminem - Revival = 343,429

9. Imagine Dragons - Origins = 295,739

10. Rihanna - ANTI = 294,426

She's definitely the pop girl with the biggest dedicated fanbase globally :jonny6:

But why are all those albums so current? Is the albums' market bigger/better now over there than before?

China's digital sales market started booming in 2016. It's a trend that basically started because of 1989.

The digital market in China has exploded only very recently.

the paid to stream method is pretty new in China. It started like late 2015 iirc so that's why all of them are current. 1989 is the first western album that used that method back in January of 2016
