The song rules for a 32th week, extending the record for the No. 1 run of Uncle Kracker's 'Drift Away,' featuring Dobie Gray.

Maroon 5's "Girls Like You" broke the record for the longest No. 1 run on Billboard's Adult Contemporary radio airplay chart, as the song ruled for a 29th week (on the list dated July 6).

The track, released on Interscope Records, one-ups Uncle Kracker's "Drift Away" (featuring Dobie Gray), which led for 28 weeks in 2003-04.

Here's an updated look at the longest AC chart dominations:

Still? That means Shallow doesn't have a chance at that #1

Just get lost so that Shallow can be #1 and not stuck at #2 for 24 weeks.

Adult Contemporary literally has some of the worst taste in music. The fact that only two to three of those songs are actually decent (all of them by women) says a lot.
