How to fix Nicki's image

She needs to make a 2 hour YouTube video addressing every single negative narrative about her career and personal life. I feel like there is so much bad and false information floating around about her that it's really hurting her image. From people thinking she was the one who bailed her brother out even though it was her mother, thinking mr. Petty recently raped a girl when that was an attempted rape conviction when he was 16 and she was 15(?) (even though the best course of action with that degenerate would be to divorce him and distance herself from him completely), to thinking the Lil' Kim beef was all Nicki's fault and thinking that Nicki has never supported other female rappers through her uprise. Also needs to address people constantly talking about how she always raps about *****/sex/money and point to the plethora of examples that prove that narrative is completely wrong. She needs to be apologetic of her past behaviour and beefs, but still let people know what it was all really about and how it really went down/what was going through her head. Basically a confession video, but not as fake and cringey as James Charles did it. I feel like that would really clear the road up for her to grow still in the future because her past actions are really holding her back in the eyes of the general population, especially in the hip-hop community that just won't let some things slide (and for some things, I understand why they won't). She also needs to speak on how she came up and the industry struggles she had to go through and explain how she's not the one stopping bags, but the managements/labels/publishers are, along with the sexist and disrespectful community. She also needs to apologize for all the offensive slurs she has used about the gay community (f-word, sissies, etc.) and other offensive stuff she has done (book the SA concert) and admit she was uneducated on the issues and stuff like that.

I also think that a woman of her status should slowly start to move away from music videos like Good Form/Megatron, or at least class them up a little, make them more regal/classy, and move to music videos like Hard White/Ganja Burn/Freedom, especially Freedom. She has the budget and I think it would really set her apart from the lessers because a lot of the new rap girls have started doing better mv's than her, which is not okay if she wants to make the queen title indisputable.

Another thing that I think could help her career is separating the singing from the rapping. We all know she loves to rap, but I think she loves to sing her heart out just as much and this love of hers towards singing has given us amazing ballads such as I Lied, Grand Piano, Come See About Me and others. Either she needs an alter ego (I don't think this is a good solution though, it would take a lot of good promoting to get it going), or to separate the pop/r&b songs from the rap songs in her albums. For example, if the album has 16 tracks, separate it into 2 parts, the first part being rap then the second being pop/r&b, maybe with one additional transitional song/interlude between the parts. She can make it clear on the back cover of the album that it is separated into 2 parts, maybe even separate it into 2 CDs. Spotify allows for separation like this (I know Beyonce's IASF has this), not sure about the other streaming services, but I think it would help her image as both types of fans would know what to listen to and what to skip if they like only one of the genres. Those who love both genres lose nothing, obviously, as they still get to listen to it all.

Furthermore, I think what would really, really help her career is a joint album with someone. I'm thinking primarily a male rapper, or some really, really good female rapper (Rapsody, Lil' Kim maybe if they can shut down the beef organically to not make it seem PR-ish). If it would be a male rapper, then someone like J. Cole or Kendrick Lamar (she's on good terms with both of them). I think this would really give her a platform to rap her ****ing ass off and tell the hip-hop community what's what, and the community would listen because she has another name backing her up. Usually, I think a lot of people from the community just dismiss her art and hate on her without even listening, or they don't listen carefully and miss a lot of her punchlines/double entendres. And we all know she has a lot of those.

I wish her a lot of luck, but I really think she is doing a lot of stuff wrong right now. From beefing with Gaga and Miley, to saying dumb **** on Queen radio, releasing a trash song like Megatron for a lead single, not collaborating with any of the new rappers, etc. She always jumps on remixes of male rap songs, but why can't she do a remix of Doja's Tia Tamera, Kash Doll's Ice Me Out, Megan's Big Ole Freak or Rico's Countin' Up and In The Air. I feel like she is only doing remixes of songs she thinks could blow up (**** like Swalla), and she should be above that by now.

She just needs to humble herself, admit when she messes up, and work on her craft. Nobody is here for her acting like a big shot while acting like a spoiled teenager.

More Ganja Burn; less Anaconda.

She needs to only let her music talk instead of her social media since she's never going to let anyone else run it for her

That's way too long. She needs to STFU on social media, put out bops relevant to the times and support upcoming female artists with FEATURES.  The end.

Thisssss

All her talent going to waste on concepts she’s done over and over and her ugly personality. Some apologies are in order and then she needs to show that she’s truly become better not just say it.

but she’s literally a narcissist so this is like never happening lol

i totally forgot to address her social media, but yeah, she definitely needs to talk less and rap more, especially on female-led songs as a feature. as far as her instagram goes, she needs to do something similar to beyonce (hot pics and photoshoots only), whereas her twitter needs to be all fun and games, laughing with her fans, doing memes etc. addressing issues only through songs or PR-ed statemens.

Very good write-up, I think you covered pretty much everything, maybe one more thing to do is, she should put more effort into her live performances because we all remember how Chun-Li on SNL went...can you please manage her if she did all that it would probably work.

Probably not, unfortunately. I think we're all over her taking about how much of a bAd bItCh she is and what her vagina is like, but those are her favorite two topics so... :skull:

She’s not self-aware enough to implement any of these changes.

Nicki only needs to fix two/focus on two things:

1. Stop ranting on social media. Only use social media like Beyonce (but a bit more personalised, sort of like Rihanna).

2. Focus on her output. She's got the talent -- more talent than most female rappers -- she just needs to put that into the world.

Most of her problems come down to social media inflaming everything she does. I mean she pulled out of that Saudi performance (which is a good thing) and ATRL was still trying to drag her. People just want Nicki to continue the way she is now.

But above all this is Nicki's problem. She's so stubborn that she thinks criticism is hate. That's a problem most people seem to have though lol.

1. Better music

2. Deflate all the unnaturally oversized body parts

3. Stop dressing up and acting like a prostitute

At this point I don’t think her image can be fixed, I think majority of people outside her fan base just see her as rude/nasty. She’s been starting drama with other celebrities, mostly females, her entire career...after a decade of that it’s hard to change people’s perception which is why 2017 played out the way it did.

I do think she should address some things with a documentary, that’s well scripted + edited

SN: when I wrote the above made me think of: ”we gon’ get into some thangsssss...” lol

But the most important element....make better songs of her own!! (not just do some hot features).  Remind people why they used to love her.

But unfortunately, shelf life for female rap is low.  And she already did the impossible for staying strong for nearly 10 years.  So, it MIGHT be over sadly (although I don’t think it has to be...and I don’t want it to be).

Totally agree...which is why I was hoping management would force a heavier hand with her.  But clearly not, lol.

This to be honest. And let the label pick the singles and orchestrate all of the promotion. Sis might be hella talented but she definitely doesn't have an ear for hits :skull: She called that Zayn collab one of her fav tracks ever or something:skull:

She should also ditch the whole "Evil Queen" & "Bad Guy" persona cause no one ****s with it in 2019. People want fun, catchy and carefree bops. That whole evil imagery thing is a thing of the past. Even the whole vendictive/evil persona of Taylor in "reputation" didn't do so well with the public, compared to her previous releases.

Also, "cleaner" fashion. Sometimes she serves iconic looks and beauty (VMAs 2016 & 2017 and most of TPP era :smitten2:) and sometimes she looks like a complete amateur mess.

Focus on quality, leave the messy and evil persona behind, let the label do all of the business part on their own and bring back the clean TPP looks.
