In Germany, forecasters are predicting temperatures up to 37 deg C on Tuesday and 38 deg C on Wednesday, with similar hot weather also expected in Belgium and Switzerland.

The British MetOffice said it was particularly concerned that the heatwave could trigger "violent storms" and warned Britons to expect "hot, humid and unstable" weather.

Greece will be one of the countries most affected by the heatwave with temperatures hitting 39 deg C at the weekend.

That's only like 100 degree F. Really not that bad.

In SoCal, we can get temperatures around 120 in the desert.

Yeah, but you don't get - 30 in the winter, right ?? It's messed up for your body when you have a 70 degree difference between the seasons...

-30 seems like an extreme figure. In Delhi, it gets 2-3 celsius in January which still feels chilly

of course here comes everyone to let us know that 'where I live it's just as hottt!!!! europeans are so weak!!! lmao!!!'

when are you guys going to grasp that humans adjust to the place they live in and extreme weather changes can be very dangerous. most places don't have air con. sick people die during heatwaves :rip:

like rn here it's 16°C and within a couple of days it's going to 37° here. that's an over 20° change within a very short amount of time and it's going to have a negative impact on a lot of people.
