Yikes, is this his power without heavy playlist support?

Guess that's what happens when you don't have every single playlist on Spotify with your face as the cover :cm:

Please shut up. :lmao: He pulls HEAVY Apple Music numbers with no playlisting that outdo even Spotify #1’s. He does not “need” playlisting. Needing playlisting would be the Pop girls y’all are out here stanning that automatically do terrible on Apple Music and only have Spotify as a saving force after big playlisting.

Isn't this thread about worldwide Spotify positions? So why are you using US Apple Music?

Worldwide Apple Music Song Chart (Kworb)

17. NEW Drake - Money In The Grave

24. NEW Drake - Omertà

:michael:

Why are you so mad? No one is saying Drake is a flop, this is just surprising considering Drake is seen as the biggest streaming force. It just goes to show that playlisting is important, even for him.

You thought you proved something with that fake global chart? :lmao:

Kworb's global Apple Music chart is fake, its based on a point system that is made by him. Apple Music has an actual global chart based on global streams.

Screen-Shot-2019-06-16-at-3-09-22-PM.png

They haven't updated the chart to reflect yesterday yet, however Drake will be #1-#3 on their global chart also once its updated.

And there's literally nothing bad about these numbers. These two songs aren't singles, have no music video, were released mid-day.

Your fave Taylor, couldn't even go #1 on Apple Music + spent a grand total of ONE day at #1 on Spotify with the most promoted lead single of the decade. No clue on why you have the nerve to try to downplay him doing this with literally just two throwaway songs.

The insecurities jumped out :deadbanana4: Why do you feel the need to jump at my fave as if I claimed she's a bigger streaming artist :skull: The random pivot and comparison. You are mad and in complete defensive mode for like... no reason :skull: The point being made here is simply that Drake's latest songs are lower on Spotify WW than songs by artists who are objectively less popular on Spotify, thus showing that playlisting is important and has an impact on everyone including Drake. PeriodT.

I brought up your fave because its good to have comparisons. Drake released two non-singles, randomly, mid-day and you're calling out their performance simply because they didn't go #1 everywhere. Yet other A-list artists are releasing huge budget, high promotion, lead-singles and are struggling to go #1.

Your logic is also so ridiculous because again, they were released mid-day and are NOT singles. They were simply for fans and to celebrate Toronto Raptors NBA finals win.

Like you're acting as if he released a lead single, with a full day, and did these numbers... :skull: You'd have a point that he needed playlisting on Spotify if he dropped a hyped lead single like Me! and failed to go #1, but he didn't.

We know Katy is over for 2 years, what we didn't know is that Drake is just average without being spammed in every playlist ever, so I don't see how is that relevant?

It's not even an attack, just that his success is highly inflated by paying for playlists positions (which is how the industry works now, and everyone does it).

I don't even know why you all are talking about playlists when one of Drake's songs has been on TTH.

It's just that people aren't that here for these two.

It’s always funny to see pop girl stans come after Drake. He can stomp on your faves with random releases because he is that powerful nowadays. :fan:

Not a Drake stan but I’m not sure why half of the people in this thread are shading his #s when their faves are the definition of streaming poison and couldn’t even get these numbers with major “pLaYlisTinG!1!1” :psyduck: Chile...

Aw someone lost their cool over simple ass posts :rip:

A new drake track not even going #1 on Spotify WW (only 3M streams at that) is bad. No matter what excuses you try and throw.

Neither are singles. The fact you expect his non-singles to go #1 globally :skull: When that literally has never happened with any of his non-singles, except for Nonstop due to the album release day.

Anyways, there's really nothing else to cover. You already served boo boo the fool and got clocked.

The fact he can drop a non-single mid day and debut higher than a Katy Perry lead single. :clap3:Only THE streaming force.

kii at the implication that Drake buys his way to success when its not true

I don't think Spotify audiences care that much if a song is a "single" or not though. If it's the only new song from an artist, it should do pretty well (definitely better than an album track).
