This has more to do with Azealia than Nicki. It was Iggy’s constant antagonizing of Azealia that made her go on Hot 97 and open the flood gates. Iggy is not this victim people make her out to be. She’s an entitled sneaky type that always tries to make herself a victim.

Didn’t Iggy not pay Azealia any time of day for the most part? You’d see Azealia tweet, post, go on interviews, etc. about Iggy.

This delusion and history rewriting:ahh: Iggy barely acknowledged Azealia existed before that interview.

And what "opened the floodgates" so to speak was Iggy being nominated for Best Rap album at the Grammys and critics actually believing and writing articles she was def gonna win and how that was not okay. that kickstarted an avalanche of things from different places, attacking not only her artistic abilities or ignorance on certain racial topics but also her appearance, every personality trait, her background, literally any and everything related to Iggy was scrutinized at a considerably more extreme level than the average public figure/artist.

.it really was the Barbz that dug up old tweets and PHOTOSHOPPED fake tweets that went viral.

Ew, why do the Barbz keep doing this. Not the first and last time. And yet their fave is still a flop.

i lived through this...it really was the Barbz that dug up old tweets and PHOTOSHOPPED fake tweets that went viral. They tried to do Cardi the same way. It was all orchestrated by Nicki Minaj herself as she was healing from shots high on percs!

That contributed but the real backlash happened we after Azealia cried on Hot 97. That’s when Q-Tip, Lupe and others came out addressing Iggy. It was her attitude towards Q-Tip that caused T.I. to stop coming to her defense.

Nope. You guys just weren’t onto Iggy until after she blew up.

2011 was the start of their beef when Iggy was subtweeting Azealia, to which she didn’t respond. Then Iggy lied about Azealia saying “f*ck Iggy Azealea” when that never happened. She subtweeted her several times in 2011 and after the XXL cover in 2012 Iggy subbed her some more. So no she was definitely acknowledging AB’s existence, antagonizing her and even claimed she was better than her.

Yes in interviews when asked about Azealia publicly dissing her. And Azealia did tweet that back in 2011 about having dropped a song called ***** before Iggy, just like she also had a tweet saying she was in love with Iggy when she dropped The Last Song video and raving abt her long weave or whatever among others that were uncovered on that site I forgot the name of that used to archive old tweets - the same that was used to show how some of Iggy's alleged old ones had never been posted - but thats irrelevant anyway.

In fact there was a pretty good article from someone that used to be a part of Iggy's team back in 2016 on how her original mindset on how to handle Azealia was to pay her dust vs when she decided to respond like she did after that radio interview: https://medium.com/cuepoint/iggy-azaleas-team-a-cautionary-tale-eb4cfc5800d1 then again understandably Iggy most likely grew beyond frustrated and finally had IT after the interview since Azealia kept using her name and was getting all that publicity because Iggy's name was HUGE in the mainstream.

I am still fanscinated by the Igloo defenders. She lived in America for long enough to know better. She used a blaccent combined with her oversexualised image of a white, blonde bombshell to sell records. People who always claim that Iggy was "bullied" because she is a white female from Australia are a joke. Being a blonde bombshell was Iggy's selling point. It were never her rap abilities, it was always about the visuals and that faux accent. She knew what she was doing and why it was not okay, but she went with it regardless. She didn't care.

People laugh and bop at first, but then you will get the deserved lashings.

Bonus: her music has never been anything worth writing home about. To be exact:: she is a horrible rapper. There was almost always the same formula on her singles: she fasttalks amd another female is singing the chorus. Charli, Rita, Mo, Ellie and Jennifer Hudson. Ppl got tired ot it  fast and she has zero skill to come back from that. And the real joke is that Iggy actually claims that she is a good rapper. Like girl, just shut up and try another career.

Iggy was definitely bullied, and as much as people want to make it seem about her racist tweets, it was more about a white girl making it in rap.

The fact that Azealia was the one who started the hate Iggy movement was :toofunny2:

Iggy was the first victim of cancel culture, but unlike those who came after, it wasn’t developed enough as a movement for people to counter it and realize that people were doing WAY too much on her.

The parts that are true are 1) she complimented her and 2) she said she had a song called Pu**y before her, the part about her saying “fu*k Iggy Azalea” was completely made up by Iggy.

Are you thinking of topsy?

That medium article you posted from someone on her team only acknowledges their issues from 2012 onwards and kinda supports what I said, Iggy was subbing her.

Our policy was for Iggy to not respond directly

She didn’t respond directly, she would do so through subliminal tweets like she had already been doing the year before.

To her credit, this was Iggy’s idea and we supported it

OT: Cardi needs to stop caping for this girl. It’s not the look she thinks it is

Definitely. The media and idiot SJWs on Twitter TORMENTED her to the point of sucidal thoughts for NO REASON. DISGUSTING! She was the first victim of cancel culture.

Why do you have to call her Igloo in the first place? Then post bullied in quotation marks, the irony. :toofunny3: Perhaps calling her that doesn't instantly equate to bullying - especially when I've seen some of her own fans saying that while attempting to be funny - but the context surrounding it certainly makes it so especially when Iggy herself has expressed her distaste for it. A lot of people want her to respect these abstract ideas she was apparently being hurtful to by rapping with a Southern American accent (because that's the style of music she grew up enjoying and the people she surrounded herself with/where she lived for years while creating music) but on the other hand they can't be respectful of her existence as a fellow living human entity. If she wants to make music and that makes her happy then let her make music? You don't have to listen or support. Art IS subjective and people are entitled to enjoy and appreciate what they want to.

And justifying said bullying by claiming it's cuz of her ignorance or lack of talent doesn't make it any better btw or basically everyone in the world would deserve to be bullied. Then again, on a second thought and looking at this Internet generation it wouldn't be such a bad idea so people would experience it and humble themselves a little bit behind these digital screens who seem to make us think we're all entitled to say and do whatever about whoever.

She did say "**** Iggy Azalea", and it was in a "**** her too" kind of way because it followed up the tweet about the Nicki copying her thing. And it's not like the rest of her tweet was any more flattering to Iggy so what's your point? The message was the same. I didn't realize Azealia had sucha big problem with that (?) since it's been pretty obvious from the start she's been the leader of the "**** Iggy Azalea" movement regardless. And not "subliminal tweets" lol girl bye, you said "Iggy’s constant antagonizing" when that was not true, if Azealia or her fans were reading into things that's their problem and on the other hand it's been well documented online Azealia's regular weekly rants about Iggy since 2011 to this day so I really am not sure why you originally attempted to spin this feud narrative against Iggy.
