These are incorrect stats, Needed Me already has way more than 300M US streams and there are at least a dozen more female songs with 200m+ streams

oh I never knew this existed thank you  My fave is such a flop on there tho. Also mess that Nasmaraj is not higher already. I know he's huge on AM but where else is he getting those 100M+ streams from a week??

Let me break it down for you since you seem to be on the slower end of the spectrum. When a song blows up as a result of memes being made about it, that song becomes a meme song! Using Shallow as an example is idiotic, that song wasn't dependent on memes to become what it is today.

You really thought you did something there with the "slower end of the spectrum" comment.

 

I'm talking about around the time it hit #1, which was after the performance, it started spawning memes. About half of the songs that have spent multiple weeks at #1 since 2018 have had one point a meme. If a song has a meme it's because it has had a impact on pop culture. So actuality you are actual complimenting the song for having an impact on society.
