could bellyache have smashed if billie was big in 2017?

billie has become pretty BIG over the last two years, and I feel like bellyache was a smash that got away because it was earlier in her career. do you think it could have been huge if billie was as popular in 2017 as she is now? it is still sitting on the bubbling under hot 100 and seems to be consistently streamed as well.

I think really anything from that EP could have smashed.

Watch, Party Favor, IDWBUA, Ocean Eyes, My Boy

All amazing songs.

I hope she goes back to an aesthetic/vibe that's more like her EP later on, if only because I think people will get tired of/worried about the demonic aesthetic eventually, especially if her younger audience starts taking a lot of her music to heart.

She has a lot of potential hits. Oh well, at least some of the GP is bopping to it considering she always has like 13-14 songs in the global top 200 Spotify.

I really think is was for this one ablum because it fits with the content she discussed. Remember Bury A Friend was basically her inspiration for the ablum as a whole.

Shes gonna end up either being like Ari and getting major longevity hits without hitting #1 until later in her career or get a #1 next ablum. I love when ATRLerz say she blew up out of nowhere  (even tho i didnt into her until this year) when he had sleeper hits like Bellyache, Ocean Eyes, and Lonely last year.

I've grown on the EP a lot, but I really hope she doesn't revisit that. She's much better at the dark aesthetic imo

bellyache is pretty dark and melancholic. it's literally about murder.
