I’ve listened to the album multiple times now. It’s just AMAZING, there isn’t a single song I dislike. So powerful. I love how Jillian progresses steadily yet doesn’t lose her roots. 10/10

And stop with the LWYDTM hate, it’s a strong grower. I didn’t like it at first too and now I just love it.

Till Now and Stroke are too short. They need to be 6 minute masterpieces.

And also can we talk about the epicness of Alaska? :jonny5:

one of the only complaints i have for her these days! love the distortion, love most things, but i want some of the songs to have more room to breathe! contaminated is a great example of a song i think works well

i really want to like this album but god it’s so overproduced and the sound is grating. i’m almost done listening to it.

I'm shocked cos on first listen it seems kind of diverse to me. Hawaiian Mazes is so different to the Fall for instance :jonny:
Anyway  LWYDTM is amazing and it grew on me btw

III is Banks’s most cohesive album to date because she’s no longer restricting herself to exploring one feeling at a time. The way she has structured this record takes the listener through the complicated yet nuanced emotions of a woman who has recently learnt to accept everything she feels. She embraces her pain, and as a consequence is able to let it go.

wow

wow

In addition to the aforementioned "Gimme" and "Hawaiian Mazes," the throbbing "Stroke" features a late-song funk-bass injection that not only shifts the mood of the track, but also of the entire album. Later, the tribal "Alaska" and '80s synth pop gem "Propaganda" have the same effect, hinting at exciting new directions for future compositions. These creative bursts help Banks deliver her most accomplished statement to date, a collection brimming with emotion, attitude, and unexpected delights.

Alaska, Stroke and Hawaiian Mazes are the trinity :smitten:

Alaska’s chorus have been stuck in my head all day, it’s so catchy :jonny: she needs to make it a single
