I can say this truly paid off. BATTLE 2: Debut Era/Second Era/Third Era Boys - Britney Spears IMMORAL Spoiler Yvess: Boys This is racy during her time so I get the Immoral title. I like the pretty girl next door turning into a sex kitten explanation. BATTLE 3: Second Era/Third Era/Fourth Era Touch It - Beyonce B'Day: Country Realness Spoiler Yvess : Touch It - I like the country vibe but gotta be honest, this is not a standout. Hopefully your rivals in this match doesn't do well BATTLE 4: Third Era/Fourth Era/Fifth Era Loyalty - Christina Aguilera Fashion Spoiler Yvess: Loyalty I love the nude makeup accompanied with the ash blonde hair. I dig it! But I feel like the last two shots shouldn't be included coz it's not fashionable to me. Nevertheless, this is still a good entry! BATTLE 5: Any Era of your Choice Touch It - Beyonce Goddess of Maternity Spoiler Yvess : Touch It The photos + explanation is so spot on with the title you chose so I must commend you for doing a job well done! BATTLE 6: Any Era of your Choice Speezy - Jordin Sparks Right Here, Right Now Spoiler Yvess: Speezy : You had me with your explanation, you connected the photos and made the concept look appealing. The first photo is the best one. She has that natural androgynous look sometimes and this time it shows! LOVE the concept and direction you went for in this round. BATTLE 6: Any Era of your Choice Element - Ellie Goulding "Melancholia" Spoiler Yvess: Element This is so elegant and rich! You can clearly understand the story it is telling and evokes a lot emotion. It is very captivating and you see the hurt and struggle that Avril feels. The images are hauntingly beautiful and i LOVE the 1st image. The lyrics parallel exactly what is going on in the pictures. Very well done! BATTLE 2: Debut Era/Second Era/Third Era kiiwii - Katy Perry NEIGHBOR Spoiler Kipperskipper: kiiwii - Katy Perry: I really like this actually. It's kitschy, cheeky, campy, but also has that pin-up feel to it. I definitely get the "Girl Next Door" vibe from this and see why you title it as "neighbor", as she is literally in a front lawn looking very sexy but not in an intimidating way. I love all the colors and how the images almost look painted. You can definitely see the birth of Katy's zany and quirky aesthetic within these pics! BATTLE 3: Second Era/Third Era/Fourth Era Not Like The Movies - Janelle Monae Tribute to a Rock Legend Spoiler Kipperskipper: Not Like The Movies - Janelle Monae Idk if she is necessarily "paying tribute" to Bowie as much as she is just wearing a Bowie shirt. But nonetheless, the images are really nice! I love the sort of retro/80's type filter on them. I also like the softness Janelle exhibits. The first pic is a serve! BATTLE 4: Third Era/Fourth Era/Fifth Era Not Like The Movies - Janelle Monae Mystery Spoiler Kipperskipper: Not Like The Movies - Janelle Monae- Ok this one is MUCH better than the previous Janelle set!! I think you hit the nail with your description! It is so unique and different and I love that she is shot in character rather than herself. It certainly exemplifies her duality and versatility. She has many facets to her and is ok with portraying her image in different styles and aesthetics. It is refreshing to see cuz most celebs like to do editorial/glam photoshoots. The front cover is def my fave! BATTLE 5: Any Era of your Choice Guero - Ariana Grande "HEALING" Spoiler Kipperskipper: Guero - Ariana Grande At first glance I was like "meh" but then I read your description and I think it sold me. Of course these images are visually stunning but now I can def see the "healing" side to this. There is definitely a story to this and you can see it in the way she poses and through her expressions. You can def feel the vulnerability that she portrays. There is a sadness to these, but at the same time hope. Good job! BATTLE 6: Any Era of your Choice Element - Ellie Goulding "Melancholia" Spoiler Kipperskipper: Element - Ellie Goulding Idk why this isn't working for me. Is it her face? Maybe she isn't photogenic but sometimes it seems like it's a little too "forced". Like the first pic aint it for me and the fake mascara tears are a gag.
