Will Taylor be left in this decade?

I'm so afraid :cries:

She keeps decreasing, GP are not here for her again after reputation, and some fans are also not as crazy as before about her

This year is the last year of this decade, will she be left in this decade as she turned 30 later this year and she will not be higher in her career again afterwards?

No, she just released a trash song and some people have a life, you know?

I mean no shade but did you really think her playing her usual sound was gonna work past 30? She certainly is a businesses woman before a musician so she’s not going anywhere in terms of the GP. She will make a clothing line or something but her music has peaked commercially

100-02 is better than 86-OUT.

She's 13 years into her career :rip: she had her peak moment with 1989, no artist is on top forever. Career highs ebb and flow, so long as she releases quality music and not quick little singles without any artistry behind it.

Can Katy cancel that? :cries:

I thought that olive branches mean that they're in good term now

CTTR was Katy's last lead single, a global hit not everyone has that. :heart2:

OT: Obviously. :heart2:

She needs to rebuild her momentum with a better second single after Me! finishes up on radio. Plus, she’s always been more of an albums artist it’d be nice to see her going back to that “role” like her earlier albums :smitten:

I honestly don't see how. We all thought Avril and Christina would be left behind but they proved us almost wrong. I think Taylor is past the point where her career will just burn out.

That peaked lower and Me! will outsell it in terms of units in the long run :rip:

She had one of the biggest peaks in pop history. Just because she won't ever surpass 1989, doesn't mean she is over. It seems that a lot of people forget that. ME!'s performance isn't indicative of her popularity. Just like LWYMD, Ready For It, Delicate and End Game weren't.

A lot of people disliked and were turned off by LWYMD as well. Look how Reputation turned out. If people think that Taylor Swift can be erased because one single isn't performing excellently in a rap/trap dominated market, then I don't know what to tell you. The Swifties are just used to a lot

Obviously not. Don't be ridiculous. ME! is simply an under-performance, she was never going to be immune to flopping.

If Taylor can sneak past Katy's deadly daughters (Ari, Lizzo,... are topping Taylor on the charts) and ask Katy to say some nice words to her daughters (they would protest against the Kat food being taken away).

Yes, it’s the inevitable and she’s known this. She preserved her assets by not allowing her music for streaming on Spotify back in 2014. It was a smart decision for her financially, and in the end it helped propel her album sales and celebrity. But the inevitable happened, streaming has basically completely took over, and she has no choice but to adapt to that now.

Shes trying with all of the promo and Twitter campaigning, but it’s not tangible and won’t let her achieve longevity. But in spite of all of this, I think she’ll do fine with decent Top 20s this era. But of course ATRL and stans in general are going to over exaggerate her chart performances from ME! onward.
