Is going "unapologetically black" the secret to acclaim?

Even the most boring songs from Solange's new album gets way more praise than it deserves, even if the lyrics are just:

brown rice, brown leather, brown phone, brown panty, brown cavity

black feces, black booger, black tears, black goo, black paint

brown deodorant, brown water, brown vinegar, brown bleach, brown clouds

black eyes, black peas, black bag, black keys, black teeth

not even in that florida water

...on an ultra-slow, ultra-low volume beat.

Also, scroll through the comments on YouTube and people are claiming it's a lyrical masterpiece. :skull:

Critics -- especially white ones -- overpraise sh** as soon as they realize it's very urban or very black.

Kendrick Lamar can literally release a single of him farting on the microphone and then just rapping 'I'm black and proud of it' every 5 seconds until the song ends and critics will praise it as pop culture's blackest proud moment and a cultural masterpiece :skull:

The secret to acclaim is being an inoffensive white person who performs black-coded music and can do a fair approximation of art that came from the black tradition. Next.

You’ll look 40 by the time you’re 25 & you probably smell like a wet dog. Stay mad that y’all can’t control how black artists choose to embrace their culture & what they do. Solange can release an entire song with nothing but the lyrics “black girl magic” and you would just have to DEAL

They're not hardcore nationalists and obsessed with pointing out their skin color every 5 seconds like POCs.

No one:

POC: "As a black person..."

"As a Latina..."

"As an Asian-American..."

etc

I mean who the **** thinks this **** is okay to post :mazen:
