If you want to know what subconscious bias looks like, it’s a headline saying “AOC is underwater with every group EXCEPT women, nonwhites, and 18-34 year olds.” So older, conservative white men are considered “everyone” and everyone else is discounted as an exception. Cool

She needs to pick her battles.

You don't see every other Democrat popping off at every little thing.

that's because dems only pop off at the people & organizations who don't bribe them. unlike them, she's not an hypocrite

How do the people in her district view her? That’s all I care about since they’ll be voting for her again. :)

Well yeah, she's a threat to the old white male conservative power forces. That's obviously gonna result in backlash :skull: She's very influential and revered highly by young people though, which is why she's seen as the future of the Democratic party.

I don't know. She basically got elected with 15,000 votes.

That was her primary vote total and in that district, whoever wins the Dems primary becomes automatically the congressman.

I know her district and NYers in general wanted those Amazon jobs she killed tho'.... especially poorer people and people of color.

She is the ultimate caviar socialist... just disconnected from real life.

For her 0 job is more important than THOUSANDS of jobs because those would have been supported by tax incentives. smh

So, the main demographics that supported Trump view her unfavorably?

She‘s doing something right then :clap3:

yuuuuuup.

the comfortable classes (conservatives, white people, centrists) are obviously shaken up by AOC's politics.

+ notice how every time a poll comes out about any progressive politician's popularity stats, it's always painted as "people view" when in reality, it's just "old conservative white men view" :priceless:

It’s an easy case to make that Amazon gentrifying NYC would hurt the job base in the city. That’s the perspective she was looking at it from. We’ll see if it costs her in 2020, I hope not.

why does it matter? she wasn't elected by them she was elected by a small constituent. they should be polling her district, or at very least her state, not casting such a wide net. it's pointless. she's not gonna be running for president (yet :eli:).

Who cares?

She’s a first term Congresswoman in a safely Democratic district and she’s on the left-end of the party. Her popularity is down because it’s down with moderates and conservatives, people that don’t impact her at all. Her popularity is UP with Democrats, which is all that matters in a safely Democratic district.

Most of them will probably be dead by the time she's old enough to run for office :oh:

I know many of you actually relief with this position but younger people tend to become more conservative as they get older as well so don't be so sure about it.

They generally maintain what was seen as liberal/moderate for their time, while the younger generations become more liberal. They do not adopt the conservative views of the older generation from their time.

Not even non-Americans using this tired, already proven false line of thinking about American politics. :skull:

Well it's not surprisingly many view her negatively when the media obsesses over and scrutinizes every move she makes... Personally, I like her, and think she's doing a great job.
