But that's what they do. The Duet's #s are combined with the solo version to get the certification.

I didn’t combine anything, RIAA, Billboard, and chartdata did. :cm:

Don't remix sales add to the original song?  I thought the sales were combined

Beyonce and Andrea Bocelli did that ! :jonny5:

after being thrown out of the charts because her version was not selling enough to be credited, the hive has the audacity to claim that Beyoncé should be credited into Perfect x8 platinum plaque ?

RIAA combines them.

Hence why Summertime Sadness is 3 or 4 x platinum - because other versions of the song were included. But the certification only cites the original.

RIAA also says Telephone is solo so clearly their crediting system is off.

OT: Congrats to Ed and Bey for the worldwide smash Perfect, which is certified 8x Platinum in the US! :fan:

Pretty sure the Bey version only contributed for 20% AT MOST in the overall sales of the original so you sound quite delusional.

This is a new level of desperation for the Hive, they were always shading Britney and Christina because their last big hits were collabs, and now they're clinging on this last-second quick lil' remix to pretend Beyoncé is still a succesful hitmaker.

I don't think that is the reason. It's just a notable stat.

You see, Beyoncé has not needed a hit in a decade to become who she is, a legend.

Legends don't rely on chart positions or numbers to validate their artistry.

And yet Beyoncé was able to have two of the most talked about, innovative, interesting, acclaimed and popular albums of the decade without a "big hit."
