They have hers labeled as a 'digital' certification, yet have certs from 1992 included. RIAA is always a mess tbh. But nevertheless, IWALY moving 8 million since release. Most iconic ballad of the 20th century. I think that the RIAA finally combined physical and singles sales together, which should've happened YEARS ago! They have done this with albums from the get go. I do think that physical singles should be given double the digital download ($0.69-$1.29) weight though, because, back in the day, singles were $3.49-$4.49, and took a trip to the record store to buy them. Did the RIAA start combining physical and digital singles sales? IWALY sold 4.6 M physical copies, second to only CITW97 (8.85 M, but 2 M+ more at non-SS stores).
