CTTR only spent two weeks inside Top 10. Why?

I'm Honestly shocked..... like what happened to her Singles power :biblio: . CTTR  only spent 2 weeks in the hot 100 top 10 despite high profile performances At award shows like the Grammy's plus Radio deals and Spotify deals. What happened? Last era Katy had huge smashes like Dark Horse and Roar which stayed in the Top 10 for months and she spent 69 weeks consecutively in the Top 10 in 2010-2011. Is it because the song is to political or is it just Katy time to under prefrom? Discuss and keep it cute

The GP doesn't care about Katy Perry anymore. She keeps releasing generic pop music, she was bound to fail.

It could be worse. At least it's a slow descent and not free falling

Too different from her usual stuff. But she took a huge risk, props to her.

Isn't it obvious?

She's definitely over now and a big flop.

The too risky excuse :deadbanana2:

what is risky about releasing a generic pop song, and please don't @ me with the lyrics because when you're listening to it, it's not exactly thought provoking " stumbling around like a wasted zombie"

Because it's a weak lead single, simple

A risky song since it's political

It's really generic.

Talent lost, I guess. Maybe her next single will spend more than 2 weeks in the top 10,

Bon apetit will smash

CTTR was too political, all those 5-14 year olds who idolise Katy probably passed on this one

It wasn't powerful enough for a lead single. It was cute for like a 4th single.

Dying @ the "political lyrics" excuses. 99% of the GP barely ever pay attention to the lyrics whenever they're listening to a pop song on the radio, let alone a generic Katy Perry single produced by Max Martin. :toofunny3:

Yeah, I think so. I'm sure she'll come up with a stronger single now.
