After the 2016, 2017 and a bigger part of 2018 , seems that Pop music is returning to the hor spot.

Since august we had:

- Sweetener slayadge

- The undeniable success of A Star Os Born Soundtrack

-"Thank u, next" smashing globally and getting impressive success and being impactfull

-"Without Me" topping Hot100 and "Eastside" also being successfull

- A global breakout artist Ava Max and her global smash "Sweet but Psycho"

- A big hype for Ariana next single "7 Rings"

Yes because they’re finally learning that ****ty pop is no longer able to hold in the streaming era. The pop music has been great for me since 2nd half of 2018

Pop music never left and never will leave. The current Pop music is just different from what we’re all used to (it’s not bubblegum pop!)

Post Malone is a great example of how current pop music is

Nahh, just wait for 2 or 3 rappers to drop their projects in one month together and the charts will be filled with hiphop again.

Pop is still finding it's way in the streaming era. But its getting there.

Girls Like You is still in Top 10, High Hopes is in Top 5, Happier is Top 10 hit as well.

That makes me happy. I'm so tired of seeing that tragic mumble rap songs all over the charts.

Pop only flopped in the US, and while it's somewhat getting more pop, many good actual pop songs that smash worldwide (Woman Like Me, Let Me Love You, Sweet But Psycho) still aren't smashing there while doing well worldwide. Clearly pop going away is only a problem in the US and it still is, though it seems to be improving slightly.
