for some reason the only halsey-led song to ever play at the gay club i go to is "alone" so i looked it up. it did go #1 on dance club songs so i guess it at least sorta makes sense, even though it feels like i never heard it otherwise.

 

They started playing thank u next like the week it came out

The last even remotely anti-pop song to top the Hot 100 was "Royals" in 2013.
