#25 - LP, Heart to Mouth

A very late release by talented LP yet her 5th studio album caught me by surprised within first listen. She never feel that raw before, and the album grabbed me with her honesty. Heart to Mouth is a perfect sunken place flooded with her own emotional feeling and it deserved to be included in my list as one of the best albums of 2018.

#24 - Ariana Grande, Sweetener

This bitch better run the moment she released God is a woman. As a true believer and religious person, I found the song very offensive, a very try hard to promote feminism. Anyway, working with Pharrell kinda hit or miss and surely the light is coming is another weak spot in the album. Regardless of some weaknesses, Sweetener is undoubtedly a solid body of work and I applaud Ariana for trying to be experimental, a total departure from her previous records. It is safe to say that the album has granted her a member card into main pop girl club.

#23 Boygenius, boygenius EP

Who thought that an EP can offer such a pleasant music delicacy.  The trio of Lucy Dacus, Phoebe Bridges and Julien Baker wonderfully created a beautiful statement, bringing their own superiority and translated it perfectly into this masterpiece. I'm really looking forward to their next project, an LP maybe?

I think there are also some great cuts from the ArianaXPharrell songs (like R.E.M.) and I'm happy the whole album isn't just Max Martin doing his usual stuff  

but yeah songs like TLIC are not needed.. or wanted

#22 Choker, Honeybloom

One of very underrated releases this year, in fact, I think ATRL doesn't even know the artist himself. Honeybloom offers and intense pop/RnB fusion, enriched by infectious hooks giving the listeners all the chill vibes. The results kinda weird but damn I'm in love after a few blows and hell yeah, I do not hesitate to recommend ATRL to give this guy a chance especially for those who seeks a new type of music.

#21 Tomberlin, At Weddings

A remarkable debut I must say, Tomberlin instantly become one of my favorite singer-songwriters. She's so brave in showcasing her sophisticated identity yet the execution is simple and elegant to grab the audience. Her haunting vocal really is something else, so unique and genuine. At Weddings is surely on my list as night jam, listening to it over and over again until I fall asleep. That's a very relaxing moment.

I just know about LP, but the only song I heard from her is Lost on You, she seems like a really unique artist though.

#20 Artic Monkeys, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino

With all my honesty, this album may not repeat AM her excellency with little or less iconic songs as Do I Wanna Know? But I'm totally happy with this project, a unique in its way even though the track title is cheesy and sounds dumb. Don't judge book by its cover is the perfect statement to describe the album, the band still possessing their charms and magical touches. It's very joyful to blast the entire album while spending your precious time on weekend.
