HDD drags Billboard again, Soundcloud late

And so the shitshow continues.

Insiders at Create, distributor of 6ix9ine’s Dummy Boy, say their numbers bear out that 6ix9ine had the #1 album and are pressing the Bible to revise its chart. It’s believed that just a few hundred units separate Dummy Boy from Travis Scott’s ASTROWORLD.

Word has it that SoundCloud reported late, and the streams that would’ve gone to 6ix9ine were disallowed by BB. Now there are rumors of pending lawsuits from both sides.

With Howard Appelbaum having exited Nielsen, there are no more adults left to oversee the mess—or show their work in tabulating the charts. With ticket and merch bundles becoming ever more prevalent, the Bible’s Top 200 is more a measure of T-shirt sales than a meaningful index of marketplace impact.

The Bible bunch appear to be hoping to make this “audit” last long enough to cause biz watchers to lose interest. Fat chance.

...It’s clear that the arrogant bumbling instituted by John Amato continues without him, and Billboard has become a laughingstock...It’s said that the difference between the Bible and the Titanic is that the latter had a better band.

Ticket bundles should NOT be counted. End of. The BB 200 is an ALBUM chart. It’s already messy enough that it counts streams as “album equivalent”.

So true. I think billboard should disallow bundles.

The entire BB is a popularity chart. They've been said this. This is embarrassing for them cuz they just proved that they're just that.

Also HDD shouldn't be talking cuz they gave up counting 70% of the way... they're just trying to drag BB as usual when they weren't correct with their numbers either.

Both of these sites are having a jerk off contest and neither one is winning :rip:

HDD is one to talk about faulty charts when they couldn't even audit Kris Wu's fake iTunes sales

Basically this.

But the need of disclosure of bundle sales is real. Exact figures need to be publicly accessible. It should also be noticed that Billboard does not mention ticket bundles/merch bundles all the time even if an album has one. This makes the matter more annoying.

Not 6ix9ine about to sue Billboard from the prison cell :ahh:

Billboard has become a joke. They have been lacking professionalism for quite some time now.

HDD will never be taken seriously if they keep on publicly dragging them. Why don’t they personally sit down with people from BB or Nielsen if they’re really pressed about their tactics?
