Islam to become world’s most popular religion this century.

244 posts in this topic

- Islam is the fastest-growing religion and is set to overcome Christianity as the world’s most popular faith by the year 2100.

- Christians constituted roughly 31 percent of the global population in 2010, or about 2.2 billion.

- By 2050, however, the number of followers of the world’s two largest religions may become equal.

- One of the reasons for this rapid growth is that Muslims tend to have more children than members of other religious groups.

- Muslim women across the globe have 3.1 children on average, compared to only 2.3 for all other groups. Followers of Islam are becoming younger – seven years younger than the median age of non-Muslims.

- This means that Christian populations may soon be squeezed out of some traditionally Christian countries. The rate of conversion will be aided by the increased migration trends into North America and Europe.

scary.

the overpopulation + an increase of a horrible-taught ideology just when the first one finally started to decrease.

You win some, you lose some.

Yikes. :biblio: Each of the big three Abrahamic religions is repressive and stupid (particularly Islam, lbr) and as a result they should all be going EXTINCT, not proliferating. :biblio:

I mean, they make tons of children in the Muslim world while the fertility rate in most Christian countries is getting lower and lower so it's normal.

I don't see anything wrong with Islam being the major religion if it undergoes reformation like Christianity did...

The overpopulation is worrying me more tho..

like 7-10 children in a household alone :rip:

Hmm, I am curious how much of that growth is from Muslims in the West versus Muslims in the East.

I wouldn't be surprised if most of the growth for both Christians and Muslims comes from Africa and the Middle East.

Sadly, in a lot of places, you need to have many children to have financial stability.

It would be cool if someone did a thing where we could see how each religion is growing at what rate and where on a map visualization over time.
