Renan90
Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter V' Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 With Second-Largest Streaming Week Ever for an Album Plus, top 10 debuts for Logic, Cher, Kevin Gates and Tom Petty. Lil Wayne lands his fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as Tha Carter V debuts atop the tally. The set, which was released on Sept. 28 via Young Money/Republic Records, makes a splash with 480,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Oct. 4, according to Nielsen Music. That sum is the third-largest week for an album in 2018. Further, Tha Carter V also opens with the second-biggest streaming week ever for an album, with 433 million on-demand audio streams logged for its songs in its first week. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new Oct. 13-dated chart -- where Tha Carter V debuts at No. 1 -- will be posted in full on Billboard's websites on Tuesday, Oct. 9. Of Tha Carter V’s 480,000 units, most were driven by SEA units: 325,000. The rest of the title’s opening overall unit sum is comprised of album sales totaling 141,000 and TEA units equaling 14,000. https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/8478576/lil-waynes-tha-carter-v-no-1-billboard-200 Billboard 200: #1(new) @LilTunechi, Tha Carter V 480,000 (141,000 in pure sales). Plus, Lil Wayne joins Drake as the only artists to debut four songs in the top 10 in a single week, as "Uproar" enters at No. 7 and "Let It Fly," featuring Travis Scott, starts at No. 10. Additionally, 22 tracks from Tha Carter V, which debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, enter the Hot 100, as Lil Wayne further matches Drake as the only acts to chart at least 22 songs simultaneously in the survey's history.
