I wonder if he could beat Taylor swifts global debut numbers. Obviously she'll slaughter him in the US but he does bigger numbers elsewhere. The UK alone almost makes up the difference in the US numbers.

What was her WW 1st week?

I think Ed can do 1.6 million SPS.

Didn't The Marshall Mathers LP 2 sell 792 000 copies on its first week?

In US yeah. This is UK

None of this adds up to 2 million... all the big countries are accounted for.

he debuted at #1 in Australia and received 2xP for Divide (=140k).

593,0k - United Kingdom

143,6k - Germany

127,9k - Australia

40,9k - France

18,3k - Japan

= 923,700 copies in those 5.

+ #1 in NET, ITA, TAI, IRE, SWE, USA, CAN

those have reported already.

Yeah but those Australia numbers are shipments i think, 25 opened with 3x platinum but "only" 126k pure sales.

The charts in the UK are so different now compared to the previous formula. They shouldn't put today's records together with the records broken so many years ago

Wow, that's impressive.

The entire top 15, with the exception of one song, being him. :deadbanana2: I wonder if this will ever happen for an artist in the US.

That top 15 :biblio: I think it just shows how flawed the singles chart formula is with streaming added. The interest was clearly towards the album. It's like counting a CD sale as 10-12 separate single sales.

His album numbers are incredible, though.

It's an outlier though. The head of the OCC already said they're not going to change methodology for an outlier / extreme situation.
