Ger Posted May 2, 2020 Share Posted May 2, 2020 The sample used on each report has been steadily increasing a lot, it's been years since it was close to 3k people. Hip-Hop/Trap songs doing very good, showing Pop radio could be more receptive with them, TB has amazing callouts and it's such an atypical for Pop Radio to play. More impressively is how it's constantly improving while already being so old. Very good debut for LIG. Both RITMO and Intentions improving but still okay-ish scores, maybe Pop radio could give them more chance, but honestly don't think they're going very higher. They could give space for Falling and TB, but these idiots decided to drop eiw. BYG forcing radio to play it, they truly have ONE job. Top 10 is probably going to stay a little static for some weeks. The fact DSN, AY and the classic Circles have such great scores. MOM scores getting kinda worse, just shows how the more radio forces people to listen to the song the more they get tired of it. Ger Posted May 6, 2020 Share Posted May 6, 2020 If anyone is intered testing the songs played on Pop Radio (or any format radio tbh), you can join to RateTheMusic, a private company which uses online weekly surveys to know audience's opinions of what's being played. I heard that RateTheMusic has worked along with Critical Mass Media in the past, the later is the one in charge to report the callouts posted on Mediabase every week. So I have a theory this could somehow impact on some criteria. Many loses this week and the sample of testers increased, +3k, grat! It shows that GP is not that interested in the new songs, and they're getting tired of the old ones, although DSN, AY and Circles are showing exceptional callouts. "Circles" situation is one of the most incredible things I've ever seen, the fact it's still so high, despite being the song that people is truly tired about it. In my case, I'm very tired of it, but can't help it singing the song every time it's on the radio. Toosie's debut is very impressive, definetely expected very bad debut, but this one is good. Expected better for BMH, we'll see in the next weeks, but DSN probably kills the song. RITMO and Intentions stalling, time for radio to get rid of them. Edited May 8, 2020 by Ger-55 Mess, AP.
