When life's too hard, unnecessary conflicts, everyone's a mess and your inner equilibrium gets disturbed? 

 

I go to my own fantasy world where I can be whoever I want to be. Sometimes I think its unhealthy though, I've wasted hours just staying there

 

or I'd do some mathematical proofs. That also helps me

 

I also cook at such times but I don't feel right cooking with a negative energy

I usually listen to soothing songs that help me sleep lol (I try to avoid the depressing ones tho)

oh yes i still use soundtracks without the vocals, most slow songs are depressing

Put on a good movie and enjoy a bowl of popcorn by myself. I hate watching movies with people around unless it’s on a theatre.

If I am feeling motivated then I’ll indulge in my own creative outlets. 

 

If I am completely burnt out then video games or a familiar show to binge.

it just happens. you have to notice reality and spot the weirdness going on. i usually know its a dream when a bright light stops me from reading something and kaboom you're your own dream creator. but sometimes your (if any) lack in confidence will cause you to "wake up" and never believe you're fully awake until you check reality again

should have added a period, sorry. when lucid dreaming i always wake up inside my own dream which is still a dream, and being that you were just aware and lucid its the best time to check your dream again so you can regain control. 

basically you don't really wake up most of the times and you're still dreaming so get lucid again

I also take to time to focus on myself, meditating, picturing scenes/ideas, remembering great memories...
