Just watched this. Overall, it was pretty good but it’s been done before and it’s been done better.

First Act: Good

Second Act: Meh.

Last 30 minutes: Good.

Even though I didn’t think it was very funny, the press screening audience ate it up. They laughed at EVERYTHING like one of those bad sitcom laugh tracks so maybe it was just me.

6.5/10

Is this a comedy? I thought it was a thriller ala Gone Girl

I felt the hints of it with the campy vibe of the trailer though. Honestly, the marketing of this was a dud :rip:

the trailers and TV spots didn't seem to know wether they want to be super serious or super campy... wouldn't blame the people for being confused and just ignoring this  :emofish:  but I'm glad the rewiews are more or less positive and I can't wait to see it tomorrow

It’s kinda both. It’s what you get if you mixed a raunchy comedy and Gone Girl together. It definetly takes itself serious most of the time, but this has Paul Feig’s signature all over it.

Love that in the end, the movie revealed itself as a parody of

Gone Girl. The writer husband, the alleged college mistress, the back to life element, the self-hurting element, and the crazy wife element.... all pointing pack to Gone Girl

There were definitely some tonal issues, but hack, the whole thing just feels modern and fresh. And at times really funny.

loved this one, Anna was perfect for the lead role. my only complaint was that I felt it was a bit longer than it needed to be, the way it kept giving us new twists and turns in the final act, I was like can you please just make up your mind and give us a conclusion :rip:

I know it's Paul Feig but i'm surprised to hear this.

The trailer doesn't convey that at all.

Can't wait to go see it.
