I feel like Janet should be on this list...she has 17 top 10 hits there lol.

She has 2,46M certified albums and 2M certified singles.

The current lowest in the top 40 is @ 4,8M total.

Are her certifcations underpublished? UK Mix back in 2009 had her at 3.2 million single sales between 1990-1999 alone.

UK best-selling singles artists - as of 2003:
#57 - Janet Jackson - 4,359,645

UK confirmed album sales (retail - excl. music clubs):
1984-2005 - 2,321,000
1990-1999 - 1,610,000 (#90) * full end of decade chart *

UK confirmed singles sales:
1990-1999 - Janet Jackson - 3,210,000 * full end of decade chart *

UK certifications are done automatically by the OCC.

Hmmm...IDK I see her numbers all over the place. But I guess if we have to go off of them, I found something on UK Mix when I googled. And those dont account for everything.

Single sales =/= certifications

A song selling 199,999 wouldn't appear in this list because the silver mark is 200k.

A song selling 399,999 woud appear as 200k because it didn't reach Gold (400k) and so on..

I am a RiRi stan but we can't compare singles that were sold for 99 cents on itunes with physical singles that cost $4 ad you had to go to a store to get them.

So we adding the bus fare? hahaha what a silly thing to say.

Lets just remove all artists pre downloads...

Oh also I just calculated it and you don't have ASIB as Platinum (300,000) either, Gaga should be at 4.56m albums and 8.4m singles for 12.96m total :heart2:

Dangerously In Love - 1,200,000

B Day - 300,000

B Day Deluxe - 100,000

I Am... - 1,500,000

4 - 600,000

4 The Remix - 60,000

Beyonce - 600,000

Beyonce Platinum Edition - 60,000

Lemonade - 300,000

Dreamgirls - 100,000

More Only - 60,000

4,880,000? It's not possible for it to end in 50,000 as the certification numbers are 60,000/100,000/300,000.

they're cert totals boo, not album sales total.
If an album sold 1,199,000 it will be counted as 900,000 because it hasn't hit 1.2m officially yet and therefore isn't certified for those sales.

Feeling Myself certified Silver.

Don’t you mean “Flawless Remix”? since that was certified silver by the BPI yesterday.

Feeling Myself has been silver for a while now.
