As Drake's "Nice for What" blasts onto the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1, the song makes history on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop radio airplay chart, becoming the first title ever to debut directly in the top 10 (since the list launched on Sept. 18, 1993).

"Nice" bursts in at No. 8 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop tally (dated April 21) following its first full week of tracking, ending April 15. The song was released April 6.

Before "Nice," the previous debut benchmark was a No. 11 start for Mariah Carey's "Fantasy," on Sept. 16, 1995. (Both "Fantasy" and "Nice" are a handful of songs to have launched atop the multi-metric-based Hot 100.)

Debuts top 10 on Urban Radio WITHOUT a radio deal.

Whitney Houston spent 1 wk @ #1 with Exhale (Shoop Shoop) between Mariah's Fantasy and One Sweet Day (co-billed with Boys To Men). As far as I can tell. Drake is the first artist to knock himself out of #1 that debuted there with another #1 debut.
