I don't think that's been done before - would you be including the mixtapes?

Maybe 2020 and beyond?

Yes, I would like to include her mixtapes. I think some of her features should be included as well. Obviously not all of them because she has few hundreds of them at this point, but the most widely known and successful

So I have a question. Could I split the Nicki rate in two? One for her albums/mixtapes/solo singles and second one for her features? I'm currently creating a list of songs and 200+ songs is a quite scary number and I really tried to be selective with features.

Excluding the R&B Albums that were/would be in the This Was ___ series, I'm assuming Ungodly Hour (2020), 333 (2021), Still Over It (2021), Caprisongs (2022)?

I'm not trying to be sexist here but if we have to, Silk Sonic? Candy Drip?

Oh I thought you were talking about doing THE NEW STATE OF R&B PART 3 with people Like Yebba and Alex Isley!

Too bad she's stayed on the same label - you can't even split it up by then!

Take out the features. Yes, even MONSTER. Just have it be HER songs. That should cut it down significantly.

I got confused. I actually started the New Wave of R&B but no one was voting and then we got snatched once the board refreshed.

What I thought you were referring to was actually an album rate titled State of R&B which included 2013 albums from Ciara, Robin Thicke, Kelly Rowland and Justin Timerlake

Yeah, I think it will be for the best. Ranking of 300+ songs is a little too much. The thread is up.

@Ace Reject So, I think I figured it out. I was randomly looking at Pazz & Jop stats (didn't know the list continued past 2016 but then discontinued officially) so I pulled the top R&B songs from 2012-2019, about 60-65 songs. There's more familiarity here and still blends of the best contemporary r&b and alternative r&b. I need a name for it, but wyt?

I'll do it as long as I can exclude either Wilco or Coldplay (won't do both).

Ok actually... this is a total disaster.  I'm in.

Oh I'm sorry but Interpol is absolutely going to be there instead of Coldplay!!

I would prefer The Roots or Spoon to be there too, but your list is probably more *definitive*

Let me meet you both halfway.

Wilco/Beck/Missy/Eminem/ and either Norah, Sleater-Kinney or Interpol!

Or The STREETS. Fuck them up with the acclaimed British 'rap' of the early aughts!

1997 would be cute too! Along with the revamped Rebellion rate...
