 Because it completely misses the concept of Robyn’s original and waters it down into another generic sappy AC radio ballad.

Calum made it bare-bones and took out what made it so special in the first place. The point of the song was to capture loneliness + otherness and set it to a club beat. Making it some stale ballad removes context and makes it like any other talent show ballad first single.

because the original was a artistic pop song with mega-synths and vision then he comes and removes the instrumentation puts acoustics and sells it off. its awful.
