"We Belong Together" spent 24 weeks in the Top 10 of the airplay charts and is actually tied with "We Found Love".

1) It first entered the Hot 100 Airplay Top 10 dated 14th May where it had jumped from #14 to #6 that week:

https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=pxQEAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA20&dq=billboard+may+14+2005&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi_6PHqp8TSAhUCrxoKHQk-Cl44ChDoAQgdMAE#v=onepage&q=billboard may 14 2005&f=false

(Scroll down to Page 53)

2) It was at #8 the week dated 29th October before falling out the top 10 the following week dated November 5th:

(Scroll Down to Page 75)

You have to remember that 'Together' had huge jumps to #1 on the airplay charts prior to spending 16 weeks at the top (it had only been on the charts for 5 weeks altogether before reaching #1 dated May 28th 2005) and then descended rather quickly thereafter.

It was in the Airplay Top 25 for 33 weeks and in the Airplay top 40 overall for just under 40 weeks.

Other number-one songs around the time and had peaked just after 'Together's' reign ala. "Golddigger"; "Run It" had much more airplay longevity and even those that didn't reach number-one in the meantime ala. "Photograph"

Well Closer has probably set the record then. WBT was the only other song besides WFL and UF that I thought might hold the record for Top Ten longevity. Thank you for looking this up.

So...

To you knowledge, what would be the excuse for a fourth single from a year old album, that was initially sent to radio in September 2016 (and hasn't recieved a live televised performance since August 2016) to only have peaked/be peaking on radio in February/March 2017 perhaps, to be "smashing" on radio then?

Please inform me of your reasons, Lady Gaga fan? :celestial6:

Green Light had me worried in the last few days, glad it's bouncing back. My prayers worked.

I honestly thought the new Chainsmokers song would kill Paris but nope. Justin Bieber tea. :deadbanana:

And of course LOTB is slaying effortlessly. The last time the song got even a hint of any kind of substantial promo was in August of last year, 7 months ago. Which is insane. She got lucky, it clicked with radio.

Yes. He/She came into a post where serious discussions revolving around chart statistics and logistics are spoken about/debated on and made a sly and unsubstantiated claim about the success of another song. Why shouldn't he be addressed for why he/she has said such? It happens all the time and people are then clocked for it, so why are you surprised exactly?

"Shape Of You" rebouncing from yesterday's update. INSANE! :jonny: How much room it could get on overall radio tho.

Remember when I said "Love On The Brain" actually could go #2 on radio? Forget it. "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" seems pretty strong especially on Pop. We'll see.

Also, "Million Reasons", almost 4 months into its chart and still rising on radio. :alexz:

Shape of You still has a lot of room to grow on rhythmic and ac, plus pop and hac won't let it go for a while, just like they did with Cheap Thrills, Love Yourself etc.

JULIA MICHAELS - Issues: 35.672 (+ 0.145)

I knew this would struggle on radio. It's not relatable to older women. Its sense of galling entitlement is only understood by millennials and teenagers, who dominate streaming.
