While I'm not sure that radio will ever die, I do think it will only become more and more obsolete.  Programmers and companies need to think about their futures, because they newer generations are just not listening, especially when more streaming capabilities will and are being integrated into cars.

Oh, radio will definitely die. There’s a Billboard article about it I’ve been trying to find again. Either that or Billboard will eventually stop lagging behind and get with it that radio isn’t a good metric to include - like the rest of the charts around the world.

The whole Reputation album had a radio deal nn. 

 

One track at the top of every hour on Top 40, and then for 1 hour every station simultaneously aired a listening party she recorded.

 

Jay-Z's album had a radio deal too, but it was different. The whole album played once with no-interruptions on Top 40/Rhythmic/Urban stations.
