Hunt breaks the 100 M on AI. That's incredible for a Country song without a remix.

there's definitely remixes. maybe not an official one tho.  in my city they throw in a bunch of "hey"s into the background (think fancy by iggy azalea) :rip:

No, and I really doubt there will be another radio single from Starboy (besides, if there was, I'd like to think they would choose Sidewalks or Six Feet Under, as those are far more rhythmic/urban friendly).

The new problem for The Weeknd and other artists who can pull big streaming numbers is that when they release an album, all of its tracks are consumed so much right off the bat that it's difficult to build momentum for a 3rd or 4th single, especially on streaming. This applies to songs like LOYALTY., Castle On The Hill, Honest, Versace On The Floor, etc. So even if they do push another single, I don't expect it to smash.

You are exaggerating a bit here, however to some extent I agree with wit you. Let me start by saying that re-releasing "COTH" in the US was not the brightest idea as it had already a lot of exposure with promo and the double release along with SOY and the top 10 peak in US. I strongly believe if the single had peaked at number two or three they would have released Calway Girl like they did in the rest of the world, but they must go for that top three, which is probably not going to happen!

On the other hand, "LOYALTY" and "Versace On The Floor" are known by music fans but not by the GP so there is a chance for them to have success as they didn't suffer from the same exposure, minimal radio airplay, peaked on the Hot 100 and other charts but in lower regions because it was a promotional single (VOTF). The streaming is just showing record labels what the public is relating to.

Nevertheless, VOTF already has a remix made by David Guetta and my gut is telling me that is the first of a couple, who knows if Loyalty won't have the same treatment. They are doing well on radio and rising on sales, with some streaming in the meantime, GP is not tired of them as music fans are.

However, with more people streaming songs this "problem" will become more and more frequent, perhaps moving into  EP's in the future will be more rentable single wise or just make two/three hit singles per album and release them."Reminder" was already released on May 9, 2017 to urban radios in the US. Not sure if you already knew or were thinking about another single besides this one, and c'mon nobody heard Honest...

I need to check my laptop tomorrow, as I can do more there than with this phone. I would think the remixes should go to ITunes and ODS though.

I don't want this to be a "Hello" scenario where there are a ton of remixes never sent to download nor ODS sites. Hello would've stayed at #1 longer, have had a slower descent, and have sold at least 1 M more downloads.

Well, Body Like A Back Road has set a new record for the slowest descent on BB's CAC. Hunt, which got 3 weeks there, has fallen 1-2-3-3-3-3-4-4-4, or eight falling weeks within the Top Five. Rascal Flatts My Wish lasted 7 weeks (1-2-2-2-3-3-4-5). Also, Hunt was only down 121k in audience for the tracking week.

The Top 10 record for BB's CAC is Brad Paisley's He Didn't Have To Be, which exited the Top 10 after 9 falling weeks. With Hunt still in BB's audience and spin T 5, he will almost certainly tie that record next week, and break the record in two weeks.

It's a shame Hunt didn't get 5-6 weeks at #1 like Need You Now and Die A Happy Man. Of course, MB only credited him with one week, so at least BB's being fairer here. Hunt is up to 21 #1 weeks on the hybrid Country chart. Only Cruise, with 24 weeks, has a longer #1 run than has Back Road.

I hate how nearly all hits take 20-25 weeks to peak on radio now. They get so burned out by then.

Many Country song take close to twice that long to peak. Darius Rucker's "If I Told You" reached #1 in its 47th week. And there are a bunch of songs that peak on or after their 40th chart week. There are even some that peak around week 50 or after a full year. If songs went back to a max of 20-25 weeks to peak, we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves lol.

This is why I continue to argue labels should only release one song to streaming and download websites at a time. Albums would sell better, and we could go back to having at least five songs released from a CD. Flooding the markets with all of the songs available for downloading and streaming kills the CDs shelf life, and prevents what could be huge hits from having their time to shine. It's truly a win win situation for virtually everyone. However, now that this genie is out of the bottle, I don't know how to force it back in.

Despacito radio airplay on Kwob is wrong, right? Because mediabase reports a completely different number.

It's only wrong if there is a red highlight over it.

Not the case, at least for yesterday...so why are the numbers from Mediabase so far apart from kworb? Dones't kworb gets its numbers from mediabase?

Kworb's AI includes Latin/Spanish airplay. MB's AI doesn't.

So basically the last artist to get 3 #1's hits from one album will be Justin Bieber with Purpose, unless  artists release 3 singles before the album release.
