Ice Spice is about to be that in 2023. Boy's a Liar is going to #1 soon, and In Ha Mood will be the song of the summer.

You’re really underestimating just how massive Kesha was back then

I know how big Kesha was. She was right up there with Katy, Rihanna, Adele, Lady Gaga, etc. from about late 2009 (TikTok) to early 2014 (Timber).

Amazing how fast she (and Katy) fell after early 2014.

OT: In Ha Mood is going to be very big if it gets a proper remix.

The first line in correct. To be fair, Kesha fell way lower than Katy. Kesha tours nightclubs now, while Katy still does arena tours and has a successful Vegas residency.

Agreed, I liked it. Enough had similar vibes but radio rejected it.

On BBs Country Airplay Chart Son Of A is still hanging in, rising 34-33 in wk 55 (still #31 peak. And Brent Young's You Didn't is at #13 in wk 66 & would tie the CAC's longevity next week. So far its peak is #12. I'll try to give YD's chart history soon.

Enough was not bad, but I definitely preferred Falling. I feel like radio is slowly moving away from this trap-pop sound. The was Enough, Grand, and 2step flopped.

A shame, really liked all three songs, especially "Enough".

Although, there was something special about "Falling", sure a trap pop song, but a very interesting sad one. I'm glad it did so well.

I need a fresh sound on pop radio. "Enough" of the trap-pop please.

Let‘s not :rip:

This is a false equivalency because Kesha has never been close to being as big as Katy was at her peak, so of course she can still reap the benefits from that to an extent.

This does not change the fact that Katy Perry declined much, much more than Kesha in absolute numbers - despite Kesha‘s career suffering from significant obstacles that Katy never had.

Oh nothing against Kesha, love her! Wish they were both still big. I just feel like Kesha randomly went to like indie-level streams with Raising Hell.

Obviously she faced massive obstacles and the music industry is against her, so not her fault at all.
