This is her third time actually.

Blank Space and Style were also concurrently in the top ten for five consecutive weeks starting from the week ending 8 February 2015 to the week ending 8 March 2015.

Gaga had concurrent top ten hits with Just Dance and Poker Face for one week, then Poker Face and Love Game for 2 weeks, then Paparazzi and Bad Romance for one week, and lastly Bad Romance and Telephone for six weeks. That gives her four instances of this occurence.

No, she has 5, I just checked for Telephone/Alejandro.

5/22/2010

#9 Telephone

#10 Alejandro

Telephone exited the Mediabase pop radio top ten in the week ending 2 May 2010, while Alejandro entered it in the week ending 9 May 2010. I think you're listing the Billboard rankings here, which is strange since we were talking about the Mediabase ranking for Lavender Haze.

Why use the old Mediabase's chart when it wasn't Billboard's official one? How does that make sense.

Guess I have to draw it for you

X chart - unofficial one - chart position not relevant

Y chart - official one - placement relevant

X chart replaces Y chart meaning it becomes the official one and therefore the relevant one

LH's chart placement on Mediabase's chart in 2023 is the official Pop radio peak unlike Telephone's Mediabase placement in 2010.

I assume Katy has done this the most time during the TD era?

Followed by Gaga since she had

JD/PF

PF/LG

LG/PA

PA/BR

BR/TE

TE/AL -> not sure about this one, can somebody check?

The chokehold she had on US Pop radio :clap3:

That's not how it works, the Billboard chart isn't the more official one than Mediabase (why would you even think that?), they're completely charts and until recently they consulted completely different stations. Pointless argument.

I think Escapism is a sure bet to make the Top 10 and Calm Down will either just barely make it or barely miss (it will peak at either 10 or 11). Bloody Mary is going to peak soon at 12 or 13.

Gurl :skull:

this is like someone here using the short-lived Rolling Stones chart instead of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It's official aswell, but is it relevant? Who uses that chart? Have some common sense, for fucks sake :rip:

Which chart do we track in this thread? Stick to the topic at hand please, if that's not possible then kindly avoid contaminating the thread with incorrect gloating.

Don't bother replying to this, the thread's been derailed enough.

I don't understand why everyone is going after Lizzo, but not SZA, who jumped on the remix to make it popular. SZA is the 'it-girl' this year, and anything she is on is pretty much guaranteed to smash on radio, kind of like Doja Cat last year.

I'm pretty sure Special would have flopped worse than 2BL if it was just the original version with Lizzo alone.

My thoughts, exactly.

Besides, a song taking off with speed shouldn't really be considered payola since it's obvious that at that moment in time the label is obviously pushing it hard. It's when it continues to gain at radio despite minimal sales/streaming traction that it should be called out for that, like what happened with Sweetest Pie last year.

It had surprisingly very good callouts, which is funny considering Dua was going on a streak with three (3) really panned singles (according to callouts).

SZA doesn't care enough, I mean, you can tell with KB's messy promo campaign. Lizzo obviously used her, lol. Plus, if SZA was really pushing her songs, NGM wouldn't be stalling the way it is.
