Witness happens when you choose to go down that road.

Witness flopped bc it's a bad album trying to be sold a woke "purposeful" pop bull****. Literally has nothing to do with it. Demi was heavily involved with politics in the Hilary campaign and it didn't affect her at all. She actually just got her biggest so :michael:

It's funny how all the Taylor stans are running in her to defend her when she didn't even name her. This is a general statement that fits plenty of artists that don't speak up :rip:. She didn't "drag", " she didn't "attack," she just affirmed something she truly believes. I don't why you all are so bothered about that. She's not telling anyone that they should speak up. She's just saying that she's not afraid of losing fans for doing so. That's the path she chose, and Taylor chose another one. This petty stan fight is old and tiring, and once again, pure superstition, since she didn't even name her, just like she didn't name Nicki.

Y'all need to stop being pressed about this kinda stuff, like, it looks really bad :rip:

I completely respect artists' decisions to speak or to stay quiet about politics.  But it comes across badly when you talk down about your peers for it (or any reason, really).

No but it helped her get a record deal in the first place. It's just weird seeing that Taylor stan on Twitter acting like Demi had it so easy while Taylor fought so hard to earn her spot.

I just don't see 2006 Taylor getting a record deal without some shady biz involved because she has no raw talent nor did she have natural star quality. No shade just my opinion.

I disagree. If you have power and influence you should speak up during crucial times.

That is not an opinion, because what you're saying isn't true. Why are you even in this thread if you hate Taylor?

As a refresher:

Delusion at its finest. :rip:   Newsflash: It's impossible to buy a career.  You can't pay to have fans supporting you.

FYI, Taylor was signed to RCA Nashville when she was 14 with a publishing deal, and artist development deal.  When she was 16, they decided that they weren't going to let her release music of her own until she was 18.  She didn't want to wait, so she walked away from it, was approached by Scott Borchetta about a new startup indie label he was making.  She signed on with him, and her dad bought a share in it (which literally meant nothing at the time since it was a brand new indie label). Taylor was the first artist signed to it. Taylor was the main writer on every song on her first album, several of the hits from it were solo written. She had a no-name demo producer produce it.  She went to every radio station, made them cookies and performed/talked with them.  She played every bar in Nashville.  She worked her way up.

Being political doesn't automatically make one less successful this is an absolute fallacy .....Katy didn't flop because CTTR was political :deadbanana2:

Sis this "feud" is dumb as hell, but you damn well know Demi was referring to Taylor when she said that. Her history of dragging Taylor makes that even clearer.

Then why did CTTR flop  It received good single treatment, lots of promotion, catchy song, radio deal, and a high budget video
