Spotify Kicks off Women’s History Month with the Launch of ‘Amplify,’ a New Hub Spotlighting Causes & Community Voices

Quote

Spotify is proud to announce Amplify, a new year-round hub available to fans in the US & Canada that highlights, empowers, and amplifies important topics and voices from various communities. Throughout the year, Amplify will focus on different causes including Gender Equality, Mental Health & Self Care, LGBTQ rights, and Immigration.

Spotify kicks off Amplify in March with ‘Amplify Women’ in celebration of Women’s History Month. Amplify Women will feature a broad range of podcasts and playlists that voice and represent the views of women, including a dedicated playlist, updated weekly. This month, the playlist will be known as Amplify: Women of the World and features artists such as Raisa x Isyana from Indonesia, Saara Aalto from Finland, and Fatouma Diawara from Mali to name a few.

Acknowledging a recent global surge in streams of Latin music, throughout March Spotify will also highlight the diverse voices of Latin women via Spotify’s Latin hub. To kick-off the Women of Latin initiative on International Women’s Day, Spotify is releasing a video interview of Demi Lovato in the studio recording a new Spanish version of her hit “Tell Me You Love Me” as well as discussing the topic of gender equality, her confidence as a woman, and more. Both the track and video will be available on Viva Latino within Spotify’s Latin hub until Thursday, March 15th. In addition to the release of this new track, Spotify will also be sharing a special Viva Latino podcast episode featuring Becky G on the same subject matter.

you're so late to spotify being pro-social justice lol. they had a playlist full of acts from countries in trump's original travel ban, they had a section dedicated to black history month, they have a playlist called BLM, they have playlists about LGBT+ rights… etc
