Another day, another SJW meltdown over futile things. Emma didn't lie, nothing but respect for this legend.

Yeah I cringed at that too.

I feel like pretty much everything you can say about this movement has been said already, so now it kind of seems like these stars are all trying to snatch a quick "woke" headline or two, and it comes off as virtue signaling. Not only that, but disrespectful to the men who were in the category.

A good chunk of ATRL are exclusionary feminists so I'm not surprised some are defending her.

So if she insulted the straight white men nominated it would be plain old feminism?

Natalie Portman presented at the Golden Globes in the same category and said: "Here are the all-male nominees!" She gets praise but ofc Emma can't do something right, right?

This is NOT a controversy. This fraction of Twitter overall is NOT a controversy.

A few stories written by outlets that need clickbait and the writers that need a story quota are NOT long-term, big stories.

Emma making a point about women and NOT fulfilling every intersectionality 100% of the time is NOT a story.

ENOUGH.

She is under NO obligation to fulfill every intersectonality nor is she not inclusive to everyone for not touching every demographic.

You DON"T get to speak for her or her intentions nor subtly inference she's racist. You don't.

ENOUGH.

You can't breathe in 2018 without someone calling it "problematic." Mess.

She wasn't even belittling the achievements of the four men, she was just giving a shout-out to only the FIFTH (!!!) woman in Oscar history to be nominated for Best Director.

Besides, this could have been scripted by one of the Oscar producers like most presenter speeches are.

Wasn’t it a shout-out at Natalie Portman?

Nobody is saying or even implying that she's racist. But what she said was still dumb considering 2 of the nominees were men of color
