Yeah, 2016 was very male dominated on the Hot 100. Hopefully the gurls will do better in 2017(I kinda doubt it though:skull: ).

I doubt it too...but the men are so boring. The ladies need to get back on track :chick3:

Wow now that the receipts are in front of me, it makes me realize just how lame 2016 was in terms of chart music

Closer has sold about 135k so far in 2017. BB had it at 2.268 M for 2016, which puts it at around 2.403 M. I'm not sure how many streams it's received this year though. Closer should close in on 2.5 M by the Grammys, and will get a boost after it. Closer also has the IHeart Music Awards (late March) and BBMAs (late May) for further future boosts. I think Closer will finish in sales at just over 3 M. Maybe its streaming can get it up to 7XP at some point.

Hello was released in October 2015. Thus, 2 months of sales (including the holidays) are missing. Those were its biggest months. It sold 3.7 million by January.

6.7m SPS to date, without video streams.

Nielsen 2015 Report:
Hello's sales - 3.712m
Hello's audio streams - 129m / 150 = 860,000
= 4,572,000
+ 2,140,000 = 6,712,000

It's coming for 9x Platinum with video streams.

Even with streaming being added, those songs' numbers don't look impressive. The only exception is Closer since it's the newest song on the list and still got to be at #2.
