Hello everybody

I made this thread for all ATRLers working or applying for a professional, Master's or Ph.D. degree to come together and discuss their issues and concerns and socialize.

Introduce yourselves, I'll add you to the OP if you wish too :-*

WashU is a really good school. It’s considered to be one of the few “Ivy League” schools in the Midwest. The campus is beautiful and its location is right by Forest Park which is one of the coolest part of St. Louis and close to many restaurants, concert venues and clubs.

Same here! Loving it so far. :date2:

I hope that I will start my PhD studies this fall. I have already got one fully funded offer, but I am waiting for other responses.

I’m currently in the middle of my PhD program for computer science and I legit wanna scream because my paper got sent back for revisions because only ONE of my reviewers is a pedantic asshole.

These are all good schools, but choosing a PhD program (I’m assuming that’s what you’re going for) is about the research or the lab you’re going to join. So, make sure you’re picking a school for the research and faculty you’re interested in.

Omg as someone who's graduating from college in a month, I'm shook as to what to do :jonny5:

Immediately go into masters? Work a bit and simultaneously study for the GRE so I can in a year or two apply?

College has been tough but I have a good GPA and I did a lot of extra-curricular volunteering... At the same time going to the US or UK might be super expensive :|

Is there a giant portal where I can look for Master's programs across the world? Anyone know of a helpful site?

Thats amazing! I took the internship route and am wrapping up at an Embassy in my city.

No PhD for me though haha- what's your paper on? Mine is about soft power and public diplomacy on foreign publics?
