Tupac as far as pop culture goes. Musically Mariah, Dr is understated because he was behind the scenes a lot.

Mariah Carey>Nirvana>>Tupac>Dr Dre.

All four of these acts are Iconic and Legendary for different reasons:

1. Mariah Carey was named "Artist Of The Decade" of the 1990's in the USA. The end.

2. Dr Dre was significantly crucial to the advent of West-Coast Hip-Hop, however he was always more of a music producer (and is still seen and respected as a legendary music producer) as opposed to a forefront artist, even when he was in NWA.

3. Tupac didn't truly become musically mainstream until the release of "Me Against The World" in 1995, though he was always an acclaimed rapper and lyricist (and even actor) and did have an extremely large underground/cult following prior to his breakthrough, however he didn't have the same commercial clout as the other respective three artists mentioned here. His legacy has moreso grown to stratospheric heights since his untimely murder/death.

4. Nirvana were the forerunners in completely changing the landscape of Rock music with simply one album (a change of which Rock music hasn't seen since and is, arguably, one of the last great sonic shifts in music as a whole) and were absolutely monumental in popularity between 1991 - 1993. Kurt Cobains suicide/death has only added to the bands mystique and virtuosic status over the last two decades.

Do you agree, especially in the case of Nirvana @Joey Coco
