I watched this yesterday, The Cakemaker. Has 98% on Rotten Tomatoes and I can understand why. it's not exciting by any means but it's a slow-tempoed drama with some gay elements, and it's just so emotionally evocative because of its simplicity and skill at putting human emotion front and center throughout the entire film. I feel like every scene is just brimming with what the characters are thinking and feeling, even though it's mostly unsaid. Worth a watch. (you'll need English subtitles)

Us.

BOOT. Garbage. A bipolar emo teen Are We There Yet tea.

The first 10mins were promising and the last 10mins were interesting but the rest was disjointed and badly paced in my opinion. Always here for black excellence tho :clap3:

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile: film is pretty basic, zac did alright. but the random nudity tho (his body's incredible)

Booksmart: 9/10 excellent film. I wanna see it again. Such a delicious script, smartly directed.

Brightburn: 5/10 there's a good movie hidden inside this film but the script didn't let it come out.

Giant Little Ones - 9/10

It was a good film, showing the aftermath of experimentation. And how it affects the two guys.

Dark Phoenix - C

This wasn't it. Only thing that saved this movie were the action scenes. Other than that, this movie pissed me off.
