Call her... Miss Ross.

Diana Ross is the original diva, the blueprint. A popstar from which pretty much every ATRL favourite artist and modern pop icon was built upon thanks to the foundations laid by her across the many decades of her career. Gorgeous, glamorous, talented, multi-faceted, charismatic and most importantly of all: driven. Diana may have rose to fame as a member of The Supremes, she may have been Berry Gordy's partner in crime and she was certainly no stranger to a calculated duet on the charts, but rest assured that she attained all that she had herself. Diana Ross is a self made woman. Diana's rise to fame at Motown endeared her to the white public in a way that no black woman before her had and she broke barriers for her contemporaries both at home and abroad. In the 1960's she ruled the charts with The Supremes in such a dominant way that it was rivaled only by the Beatles, and upon leaving the group for a solo career in 1970 she kept on pushing the envelope.

From her debut in 1970 and in the 47 years since Diana has released hundreds of songs, had countless hits and inspired huge amounts of fans across the globe with her music. One such group of fans is right here, about to pay tribute to the legacy of this woman by giving her music the respect it deserves. I have selected 40 of the most important singles released by Diana to be rated and compete in order to find the best song released by this legendary diva. Along the way we can celebrate the music of such an icon, that is sadly often neglected by the press in favor of personal scandal, and the impact she left on the world of music. Anyone is welcome to join, whether seasoned fan or unfamiliar ingénue, and discover just what Miss Ross has done to earn all of her honorifics.

From the album that gave us Love Hangover & Theme From Mahogany, and the underrated 'I Thought It Took A Little Time' (which isn't on the list smh, it was still a single :eli:)

Diana's album covers are so amazing, especially given how bad a lot of design was at the time.
