i was having a discussion with some friends about music awards and which ones are important and which ones are not really relevant. We had a hard time agreeing on the topic so i decided to open up this thread and i want your opinions on which music awards are most important, like which ones are the most important to win. Which awards will artists be most recognized for winning ??? thanks for your timee

Although, I'll never forget the stupid decision of that people back in 1999/2000 when Britney didn't win Best NEw Artist when she deserved, Grammys are the most important

the grammys at that time were kind of "no-mainstream" like it should be for such a respected award show, nowadays they sold out for the sake of popularity and commercialism to please the masses, not saying that Britney doesn't have quality but at that time they didn't give a **** about someone sales or popularity

Well... Britney is so much better than her, but in 1999... she kinda was more like someone who would win a Grammy. I mean it's obvious that they would award a new artist with such voice.

The most stupid BNA incident was last year with Gaga. Even the Grammys themselves admitted that by changing the rule.

That's not really true. If they did then Diana Ross would have one and Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix would've won one during their lifetimes.
