With a 21-1 leap, John Mayer's "Shadow Days" climbs to the #1 position breaking the record for the biggest leap to #1 in the history of my chart. The song breaks the record owned by Adele's "Someone Like You" which climbed 20-1 last year with the release of the music video, the same happened for this song since the video made its debut today.
For those of you that didn't know i count plays as the main component for my chart but music videos are weighted heavily, the same to lyric videos since i tend to watch them a lot.
The song thus end the reign of "Somebody That I Used To Know" which drops to #2 today. The song had the longest-consecutive run on top this year with 11 days on top but don't be hopeless since the difference in points between the #1 and #2 today was very narrow thanks to STIUTK Remix by Tiesto which is keeping the song on top.
Nicki Minaj earns her first Top 5 since "Fly" last September when it debuted at #1. The song climbed to a new peak of #5 besting the #9 of the song. The video was OK but it did the work for me. "Heavy Metal Lover" moves to #11 from #14 yesterday, the song its vying to become another Top 10 for Lady Gaga.

Gotye/Kimbra return to the #1 spot after just a brief stink at #2 provoked by the debut of King Mayer's music video which premiered yesterday. King Mayer falls to #2 improving in plays but with not enough points to continue being at #1. "Somebody That I Used To Know" ties Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans" as the longest-running #1 of 2012 so far with 16 days on top.
The Tiesto Remix of STIUTK is helping the song alot since most of the plays are coming from it, this has me thinking if i should i allow Remixes of songs to chart at the same time as the original. I do have a rule that if most of the points are coming from a Remix, i would allow the Remix to chart but remove the original; in the case of this song the Remix does contribute a lot but most of the points still come from the video streaming and the original song which are not the Remix.
If i were to let both chart separately the original STIUTK would be at #2 and the Remix at #10, if i would've allowed this to happen then Miranda Lambert's "Over You" which was stuck at #2 for a few days would've hit #1 for at least two days, oh well sorry Miranda you still have a shot at the top spot.

Gotye and Kimbra's "Somebody That I Used To Know" becomes the longest-running #1 of 2012 passing Lana Del Rey's "Blue Jeans." The song is already the 8th longest-running #1 ever on my daily chart with 17 days on top, the #1? Lady Gaga's "Marry The Night" with 36 days on top, still a long way to go for Gotye but anything is possible at this point.
"We Are Young" by Fun. feat. Janelle Monae becomes the 21st song to retire from the chart, its weird but all of the songs to have retired from the chart are all #1s although i think that "Pumped Up Kicks" retired also without hitting #1 but i seem to have missed it, i think. With the retirement of the song, WAY becomes one of 3 songs to barely miss the 10-day club of songs to have spent that many days on top. The song stopped at 9 days on top when well Gotye and Kimbra started their dominance on top a month ago spending the first 4 of their so far 17 on top. The other two songs are "Back To December" by Taylor Swift and "Judas" by Lady Gaga.
Rihanna's "Where Have You Been" jumps 21-14 as the Greatest Gainer song of the day, its coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
