The thing is, Britney didn't have to do it. Thats the point most Britney fans are trying to make. The FF, while dissapointing for her, wasn't a flop. it still did decently in the grand scheme of things, especially when you combine all aspects of the era. Why would you pass up an opportunity like XF, which offers so much free exposure and press? And when you're gonna bank such a massive amount of money in a short time period for relatively little work. She'd be kinda crazy to pass it up. The main point here is that these shows have basically become promotional tools, and since Britney doesn't do **** normally, they've adapted something that would suit and benefit her the most.
Nobody thinks she's doing it for fun or to kill time, but it's hardly "career rehab". If that was the case, 90% of popular artists require career rehab. This board is so delusional and detached from the real world, it sometimes scares me. Lol. Not you in particular, though, I know you're more rational than others but I think you're letting your hatred for Brit cloud your judgement.

I mean of course Britney doesn't NEED to do it. She doesn't need to do anything. She could retire now. She's set for life. Or she could just make music for the hell of it. But so far everyone who's ended up in that judging chair has been in a difficult period in their career, some more than others. Whether it's because she can't promote, or because she can't sell (or a combination of both) the current state of her career had something to do with her signing.

The charts are becoming more and more unpredictable tbh. The UK payed him and the album DUST last year, I remember me and Michael promoting him like crazy here and no one gave a ****, and now all of a sudden it's Top 5 and and Top 20 in the US. I'm happy though, he's amazing.
