Promo is not that effective for pop stars unless you are a breakthrough artist. In that case it helps people discover you.
What helps pop stars is (pop) airplay, it leads to smash singles and that should garner album's sales.

As for Fist, his europop songs can still be played on radio WW & in Europe, and he might get a few hits here and there, but outside whatever is left of his stanbase in the US, no one curr about him.

All pop artists flop sometimes. It's no big deal. Not that I want to defend her with that horrible remix, but she is #1 on urban right now & WHYB is climbing. YDO didn't even flop, it just underperformed.
