Week 43 | Rihanna vs. Kelly Clarkson vs. Usher For #1
Let's see what's on tap for this week's countdown, for the week ending 29 October 2011:
- It's Trick r' Treat time on the countdown as 3 videos debut and 1 artist returns to the countdown with her third single off her latest album.
- This week also saw the release of two hugely anticipated albums, Kelly Clarkson's Stronger and Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto. While Coldplay is one of the three debuts, Kelly Clarkson looks to get back to the top spot for the first time since "I Do Not Hook Up" hit the top spot back in the Spring of 2009.
- Kelly Clarkson's chances of hitting #1 as Gym Class Heroes falls out of the top 5 this week. And with Adele out of the picture as well, who will capitalize on their absence? LMFAO is a top contender as "Sexy And I Know It" looks to become their second consecutive #1 video, while Rihanna looks to return to #1 for a record 9th time after her last two singles failed to pack any punch, and Usher attempts to make his way back to #1 for the first time since "OMG" hit #1 last Summer.
