Popstar Ke$ha has made quite an unexpected disappearance after releasing her last single off 'Cannibal', "Blow"
Rumors have been flying around that the songstress is making a comeback late in 2012, but we weren't sure what to expect! Now that the tales are true and her new single "Die Young" is in the distance, what will happen?
Ke$ha has had a streak of Top Ten hits from her debut, "TiK ToK" on into all singles from her discography. And after her confirmation of "Die Young", us stans can only pray that she gets back on track!
But don't forget the other Princess!
Cotton Candy Queen Katy Perry has had quite the run over the past 2 years!
She's gone from one single a summer to Mega-Stanbase and hits coming on one by one!
The KatyCats' idol's last single has had very good chart performance and adequate sales! She peaked at #2 on the BBH100 and topped the iTunes 100!!! Her single, "Wide Awake" has become many peoples' fave from her discography!
But can this Ke$ha comeback top the Katy electro-ballad?
Just post below stans!
Your Body v Settle Down
After releasing her artwork for "Your Body" and album title 'Lotus', Legend Xtina is coming back to slay us all!!!
Lately she's flown away from the studio to werk at her duties for 'The Voice', which has received overwhelmingly positive ratings for its originality
Now here she is... making her stanbase sooo damn proud
Let's go to the other side of the story...
2012 has been the year of comebacks, and No Doubt probably agrees with that!
The band released their comeback single "Settle Down" in July, collecting some mixed reviews and very odd chart performances...
The song managed to peak sky-high in the Top 3 on iTunes, but dropped very quickly! And now it keeps going up a few places and slipping some in the iTunes Top 100...
The question is... Can "Your Body" surpass the success of "Settle Down" WW?
Call Me Maybe v Gangnam Stlye
It's obvious that Carly Rae Jepsen is now just a bit more than relavant WW now...
After placing 3rd on Canadian Idol, bubblegum pop queen Jepsen is on track to selling more than 10M copies of "Call Me Maybe" just by the end of this year!
Peaking at #1 on Billboard, "Call Me Maybe" has proven to be the biggest single of the year!
However, now there's a single beginning to slay your faves!!!
PSY's "Gangnam Stlye" has received so much hype over the past two weeks it's already hit 145.000.000+ hits on YouTube and currently beating Carly Rae Jepsen on the YouTube 100!!!
The humble Korean-native is now tearing up the iTunes charts at #16 in the USA!!!
PSY also has the #30 most successful song in the world today!!! And with the momentum that he has now, "Gangnam Style" will just keep growing!!!
So bottom line is: Will "Gangnam Style" become bigger than "Call Me Maybe"
Talk!

Gangnam Style vs Call Me Maybe Your Body vs Settle Down
Sure, why not? I find them both equally irritating so to me it's no different. I can see it smashing really hard. More than CMM because he can capture the Asian market (something Carly has yet to do).
The video will be bigger. However, I can't see this taking off on the radio cause ya know, it's completley in Korean, and you can't really dance in your car.
no, purely because it isn't in english so it doesn't have the same sing-along element call me maybe has. sure it's easy to remember some of the key lyrics but i'm sure most people know the majority of the lyrics to CMM
Gangnam Style is a cute novelty song and I actually love it but I really doubt it'll do too much in the long run.

Interesting that Bieber was lightyears ahead of both of these trends and carefully involved with their viral explosions.
Maybe he has a bit of a businessman in him.
It's all about his manager, Scooter Braun. He's the one with the ears and eyes. Justin just acts as the name and face to introduce audiences to things.

Yeah, whatever. Justin was the one posting about both of these artists long before they were signed to the label or even in discussions, and Scooter said specifically that Bieber showed him Carly Rae and thought they should sign her, so your willingness to dismiss him so casually is a bit annoying.

No since it's J-Pop. People will like the beat of the song, but its not one of those songs you can lipsync to like CMM It's still a big song
